About

The solo exhibit Forest Bathing by Ann Marie Patrick, running September 3–29, invites viewers into a serene exploration of nature through textile art. Inspired by her mother’s legacy and nurtured through international mentorship, Ann Marie’s work reflects a deep appreciation for the restorative power of nature amidst today’s hectic world. Drawing from the concept of forest bathing—an Eastern practice that emphasizes the healing effects of immersing oneself in natural surroundings—her pieces evoke calm, strength, and a rooted connection to the earth. The exhibit features a diverse array of trees, from familiar to exotic, each crafted to create a tranquil “island of calm” for urban dwellers seeking reflection and peace within their everyday lives.

Organizer

Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre

The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre is the art hub that connects our community by providing art for all. Located on the banks of the Niagara River in a heritage building that formerly supplied water to Niagara-on-the-Lake (hence our name), the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre offers visual arts programs, exhibitions and events. We give back to the community by providing access to the arts for those in need.
