E. M. Alysse Bowd’s performance Like a Saw in a Birthday Cake is an absurd personification of a cake walk, of diet rituals, and the danger of obsessions — it is about self-control, self-care and the sickly sweet — it is about feeling blindfolded but trying to run — it is a girl, her saw and a landscape of cake.

Our sixth annual festival will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 from 7 pm to 1 am throughout Saskatoon’s Broadway, Downtown, and River Landing neighbourhoods.
