Northern Visual Arts Centre (NorVA)
The NorVA Centre began in 2010 as a small seed of an idea. Since then it has become a visual arts presence in the already culturally vibrant northern community in and around Flin Flon Manitoba.
Year round the Centre offers studio and gallery space to local artists, brings in touring exhibitions, mentorships, classes and builds artist leadership.
The NorVA Centre's goals are to provide Access, Growth and Inclusion to all who wish to stretch their minds, imaginations and skills in the visual arts.
NorVA Centre respectfully acknowledges that we are in Treaty 5 Territory. The land on which we work and live is the traditional territory of the Cree, Inninnowuk, Dene, Saulteax, Oji-Cree, Anishinabe and Homeland of the Métis.
“Together, Canadians must do more than just talk about reconciliation; we must learn how to practice reconciliation in our everyday lives – within ourselves and our families, and in our communities, governments, places of worship, schools, and workplaces. To do so constructively, Canadians must remain committed to the ongoing work of establishing and maintaining respectful relationships.”
