Organizer
Transcona Museum
Located in Winnipeg’s easternmost suburb, the Transcona Museum collects, preserves, and shares the stories of the Transcona community through learning and discovery.
Housed in a historic 1925 building that once served as the Bank of Toronto and later the Transcona Municipal Office, the museum offers an engaging look into local heritage. From railway roots to community life, the Transcona Museum is a place where stories are shared.
Just a short distance away, don’t miss CN 2747 - the first steam locomotive built in Western Canada at the Transcona Shops - on display in Rotary Heritage Park at 735 Kildare Avenue West.
Open year-round (with a brief closure in spring for exhibit renewal). Admission is by donation, making it accessible to all.
