About

Everyone has a story worth sharing! What’s yours?

Storytelling is for all of us, not just the "bookish" types! Join us for a fun, interactive session where you will explore oral storytelling techniques to shape your narrative from a raw idea into a dynamic performance. No writing or public speaking experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and your voice! The workshop is a great way to prepare for the upcoming Story Slam, sponsored by the Parkland Writers Alliance, but you may join this session even if you do not plan on entering the slam.

The facilitator will be Tricia Friesen Reed, who is a writer, educator, and storyteller with international experience in teaching and community development. She leads writing workshops for both adults and children, and her own writing has been published in literary journals, magazines, and her blog. Tricia lives in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
