Jazenta Saultier is a Cree, Dene, and Saulteaux knowledge keeper and indigenous educator. She is a member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. Jazenta beads earrings, lanyards, medallions, and shawls. She believes beading is more than just an art form. Beading mindfully with good thoughts and intentions can be a form of prayer or meditation.

Organizer

Gravelbourg Artisan Co-operative

The Gravlebourg Artisan Co-op is a non-profit producer co-op based out of the historic town of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. We formed in 2018, after local artisans met to discuss how they could help each other grow their businesses, especially those who did not have the ability or finances to have their own storefronts or websites.

Our vision is to build a community of local artists, makers, and bakers who support, encourage, educate, and inspire each other as they develop their skills and grow their businesses.

We host summer and winter markets and an annual Member Showcase Sale in May to show off our talented producing members. We are passionate about bringing art to the community and offer workshops, monthly MUMAs (Meet Up Make Art), and an annual community art project. We often partner with other local groups and businesses to hold art-related events.
