Directions: The "Hybrid Human" video is projected on a second floor window surface at Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers, facing Old Market Square. Look up to WCD's neon signs and you will see our video. This projection runs on a loop and is intended to be experienced through the natural curiosity of looking up, evoking increased curiosity for what may be behind other darkened windows, or the unknown. The projection may catch the unexpected viewer's attention from many points in Old Market Square, including from restaurant patios, the Cube, and several street corners.

Enjoy the "Hybrid Human" dance projection as you explore the Exchange District. This may be part of your itinerary as you visit store fronts for "Illuminate the Night", before of after grabbing a bite to eat in the Exchange, after performances at the "Contemporary Dance Hub", as something unique to experience, or if you just happen to be in the area.

The "Hybrid Human" dance solo is projected on the second floor window at The Rachel Browne Theatre, facing Old Market Square. The projection can be viewed from many points in Old Market Square. Your closest viewing point is the McKim Building parking lot. Look up to the WCD neon signs and you will see the video.

Free. View with physical distancing from outdoors. Video played on a loop, stop by anytime during the event.

Can be viewed by walking up.

The dance solo "Hybrid Human" was created in collaboration with Visual Artist, Wanda Koop in 2010 and premiered as a live performance at Winnipeg's very first Nuit Blanche at The WAG.

Video footage used in the projection is from a 2015 performance in Beijing, China at Today Art Museum. Video footage from performance in conjunction with Wanda Koop's painting, "Brilliant Orange Screen" for the exhibition "Transformation of Canadian Landscape Art: Inside and Outside of Being".
