About

Art Not Shame is proud to present the grand opening of our new community arts facility on September 28th at 119 Wyndham, as part of Ontario Culture Days.

Guests will enjoy local food and artisan vendors, engage in activities such as art workshops, live demonstrations, and kid-friendly activities, all while enjoying exciting performances by local musicians. Fun freebies and creative takeaways will encourage participation and engagement, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion for all. This celebration seeks to increase awareness of Art Not Shame’s mission, strengthen community bonds through shared creative experiences, and establish a barrier-free environment where everyone in Guelph can express themselves openly and creatively.

This hybrid open house and block party event aligns with Ontario Culture Days' mission to foster public engagement in the arts and culture and highlight the broader artistic and inclusive community in Ontario.

We aim to welcome Guelph residents into a safe and barrier-free third-space where creativity, community, well-being, and social justice are at the forefront. The event will feature walkthroughs of the facility, with volunteers highlighting its accessible features, artistic materials, potential uses, as well as information about Art Not Shame’s upcoming programs and initiatives.

By participating in Ontario Culture Days, we join a province-wide initiative to celebrate and promote the importance of arts and culture in our communities. Let’s come together to celebrate the grand opening of Art Not Shame's new community arts facility and create a lasting impact on our community through the power of art and togetherness.
