About

The Philippine Artists Circle is proud to present a poetic masterpiece of Philippine literature, "Florante at Laura", an epic poem written in 1838 by Francisco Balagtas, often regarded as the Filipino Shakespeare. This epic, written in old Tagalog, is set in the 16th century and tells a tale of love, honor, loyalty, hope, and redemption.

We invite you to join us and experience this historic first-ever theatrical excerpt to be performed in Tagalog, with English subtitles available.
