About

The heART show runs from Sept 11 - Oct 5 and features artisans and artisans of all ages and abilities from throughout the Annapolis Valley. This celebration of local talent showcases a range of talent including professional artists, community hobbyists, and youth. Much of the local artwork will be for sale.

The art exhibit is interactive with People's Choice Voting starting on Sept 11 and ending on Sept 26. Winners will be announced at the open Reception which takes place on September 26 from 7-9pm. You, the audience, choose the winners. The show & sale will continue until Oct 5 with a final day wrap up, complete with interactive demos.

Macdonald Museum

The Macdonald Museum was the first consolidated school building in Canada founded by Sir William C. Macdonald, operating from 1903-1979 that became a museum in 1982***? The museum collections are filled with historical artifacts of the area with a recreated classroom & general store, a natural history exhibit, and houses a genealogical research library. We are passionate about our communities, their people and heritage. We value the preservation of heritage, accessibility, collaboration and community engagement through family friendly events that celebrate cultural diversity and the arts.
