Contemporary and symbolic leaded glass

Melanie’s artwork expresses a unique viewpoint on the way she perceives ideas, subjects, objects and people. Her main objective is to find ways to evoke an evolving emotional connection between her artwork and the viewer. Using symbolism, and always considering the human response, Melanie creates glass art that is intended to form a connection between people and their memories, history and experience.

Melanie designs and creates original stained glass panels and windows using both copper foil and lead light techniques. With an aim to create unique and modern windows, the themes in her work, whether simplistic or complex, intend to create a talking point or to offer a point of reflection.

Commissions are welcome.

EVER WONDER WHAT AN ARTIST’S STUDIO REALLY LOOKS LIKE?

Here’s your chance to get a look behind the scenes. Take a self-guided tour and meet artists where they live and work. Many artists and craftspeople will open their studios for two consecutive fall weekends.

The Studio Tour is completely free of charge. You’ll get a chance to meet directly with the artists, and often see work not shown in gallery settings. You’ll visit the working spaces of both established and emerging artists, from basements to self contained studios
