About
Inspired by Amalie Atkins' use of fabric and folk/fairy stories in her exhibition "Where the Hour Floats", participants will create their own fairy tale inspired fabric collages with the assistance of the Regina Collage Collective! You'll be able to choose a fairy tale to reinterpret, and using templates, drawing, fabric, sequins, buttons, ribbons and art supplies to recreate your story. If you're having trouble thinking of an idea, or need some help executing it, the Regina Collage Collective will be able to help you! You'll also be able to view "Where the Hour Floats" as you will be working right inside the gallery, which includes Amalie's photographs, films, and her sculptural "apron hut". This art activity is for all ages, with age-appropriate methods available for all.
