About
Join us for an extraordinary experience where artist Thomas Anfield flips the traditional concept of painting to music. Watch as Thomas conducts an ensemble of musicians using a series of ever-changing calligraphic gestures, allowing the musicians to interpret the painting and create a unique musical landscape. Then experience an all-vocal version with a choir, with a chance for audience participation.
Cecil Taylor (1929-2018) was one of the pioneers of free jazz and one of the first jazz musicians to abandon traditional notions of chords and time signatures. Don’t miss this innovative and interactive tribute to his legacy!
