About
The Culture Days rehearsal is from 2:30-5:00 pm on Sunday Sept. 29, 2019. The Huronia Symphony (HSO) invites guests to come and conduct the orchestra on Sunday September 29th, 2019 at 2:30-5:00 pm. Come and meet our conductor Oliver Balaburski, and our musicians. Join the HSO for refreshments, sign up to be a volunteer and meet the Board of Directors. We look forward to meeting you.
The HSO is a 55 member community orchestra that brings high quality live orchestral music to Barrie and Simcoe County. The Symphony began in 1966 and comprises members ranging in age from 13 years up to senior years. Try your hand at Conducting the orchestra and learn more about the intricacies of instrumental music and the symphony.

Organizer
Huronia Symphony Orchestra
The Huronia Symphony, each season, performs a series of five concerts at Collier Street United Church in Barrie and additional concerts in Innisfil, Orillia, and Collingwood. The inspirational programs feature a wide range of symphonic repertoire including classical masterworks, Canadian music, operatic favourites, pops, and film music. Outstanding Canadian guest soloists have performed with the orchestra. Family concerts and the HSO Youth Program attest to the symphony’s commitment to music education and youth involvement.
