Our DJ is the highly diverse artist: Eve Rice

Eve Rice is a producer, painter, photographer and musician.

In 2015, Eve started painting again after 25 years of work and music life and continues to do all at present. Her pieces consist of "abstract distance" florals, two dimensional mid century psychiatrist office art, impressionist and geometric inspired shapes, colours and textures. In early 2019, she began "Fluid Imagery Broads" or FIB with photographer Vivian Mackenzie. The duo combine art photos and tall tales with a Cindy Sherman feel and a touch of comedy. The works in progress are accumulative and their sights are set on a coffee table book for the whole family. Eve produced five electronic albums under the names "Vav Jungle" and "DJBeekeeni" and was honoured to be acknowledged as one of the few artists in the mid part of the early millennium to bring performance art to the electronic scene by Shawna Dempsey and Lori Milan at the Winnipeg Art Gallery for the infamous "Live in the Centre".

VJ brought her to top 10 college charts in Lethbridge, Winnipeg, Quebec and New York City. DJB is a nod to beats from all eras (and places) that have a groove and Eve wants people to dance their wigs off for the most part. She is also a fan of elevator, go go, hippie and ye ye music movements. She made a remix for B52s lead singer Fred Schneider and his other act "The Superions" and played at the illustrious "Duplex" in Manhattan. Many tunes were used in tv, film and radio.

You can find her paintings at Gallery Lacosse in Winnipeg and her music/videos on all media.
