Directions: The tours are wheelchair and stroller accessible, but some sidewalks may be in poor condition. The routes include Downtown Transcona, featuring uneven pavement and gravel. We will cross streets without traffic signals. A few benches are available, but the main street can be busy and noisy.

About

"Murals of Transcona" is a guided walking tour of the vibrant outdoor murals of Downtown Transcona. The tour highlights 20 murals that blend both historic and contemporary styles from the past 30 years. It's an excellent opportunity to explore local art while learning about the history of the Transcona community.

Transcona Museum

Transcona Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the community heritage of Transcona through our collections, exhibitions, and programs. The museum is located at 141 Regent Avenue West, the site of a historic 1925 building that originally served as the Bank of Toronto and later the Transcona Municipal Office.

The museum's largest artifact is CN 2747, the first steam locomotive built in Western Canada at the Transcona Shops, is on display in Rotary Heritage Park.
