Experience the strength and beauty of Filipino heritage and culture through a virtual performance of the Filipino Martial Arts Stick Dance known as Sakuting (sah-KOOH-tihng).
Audiences will be captivated by this rival musical dance with its complex combination of jumps, turns, and striking stick movements. Two rattan fighting sticks are used throughout this traditional dance inspired by Filipino Martial Arts.
The virtual performance will premiere on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00 am PST on the Filipino Canadian Art Museum website.
