About
I'm giving a tour of my art studio and selling over 40 drawings, small paintings, and academic studies to raise funds for my next painting project. I work across traditional media, including oil paint, graphite and charcoal creating figurative works and still life paintings with feminist themes.
My studio will be open to the public on October 13 from 4pm-9pm or you can book a private studio visit in October by emailing me at [email protected]. Masks are mandatory.

Working across traditional media, I create figurative works and still life oil paintings with feminist themes. I seek to combine the techniques and materials of European masters with contemporary feminist perspectives and Canadian subjects, often asking friends and family to pose for reference. My influences range from Artemisia Gentileschi and John Singer Sargent to the Beaver Hall Group. The aim of my work is to create emotionally direct images, focusing on the human form in a contemporary Canadian environment, while capturing a sense of the subject’s psychology.
