About
This visually captivating film/multimedia performance revisits the migration journeys of Latin Americans to Canada. Each part of the triptych proposes an alternate way of conveying the film’s underlying theme: first, it employs image and sound to go beyond workers making bread abroad; after, it focuses on a political refugee who, courageously revisits the detention camp where he was once imprisoned, offering a poignant reflection on his past; and then, it features a deeply personal and evocative portrayal of the emotions and experiences of Latin Americans as they navigate their new lives in Canada.
Performers: Camilo Martin-Florez (NVRC Artist Residence, Filmmaker/Lyricist-Writer) & Carolina Silva Diaz (Composer/Singer-Guitarist)
