About

Have you ever wondered what makes the Shadbolt Centre's ceramic arts so special? You are invited to the Steam Plant, which houses Burnaby's community wood, soda, sawdust and raku kilns. A Ceramic Technician will present examples of the various types of atmospheric firings. This tour coincides with the unloading of The Vault soda kiln, and so you will also get to see the reveal of freshly fired work! All potters, pottery-enthusiasts and the general public are welcome.

Note: This event may be cancelled if raining.
