About

Come and share poems that appreciate nature. It can be a poem that you wrote or someone else wrote. What matters is you read a poem or two that talks about any part of nature, for example wind, trees, flowers, water, planet earth, etc. You can also join just as a listener. Enjoy listening to the nature poetry. This event will be an online meeting via Zoom, interactive with the audience, the poetry readers and the moderator.

Feel free to join, but due to the time limit, we can accept no more than 10 readers. Each reader will be given five minutes or so to (1) read a poem or two, (2) share the reader's thoughts on it and (3) answer any questions from the audience. You do not have to be a reader to join this event, though. You can participate just as a listener in the audience. Contact us by sending an email to [email protected] and we will invite you with our Zoom code. Just as an example of what you're expected to do as a nature poetry reader, we'd like to share with you this four-minute video on YouTube at https://youtu.be/LJgu83m4miw

This event is organized on the occasion of the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH). The United Nations has declared 2020 as IYPH to raise global awareness on how protecting plant health can help end hunger, reduce poverty, protect the environment, and boost economic development.
