What brings you joy? What gives you hope? What lifts you up?

Express your gratitude and appreciation as you design, decorate and embellish feathers that will be added to a beautiful community art collaboration, “Wings of Gratitude”.

How can you participate?

1. Simply download or pick up a feather template at https://www.yorkton.ca/en/parks-recreation-and-culture/Culture%20Days%20Feather%20Template.pdf and choose the style(s) of feather that you wish to use as the outline for your feather design.

2. Trace the feather template onto the material of your choice, cut it out and then use your imagination and creativity to decorate your feather however you choose, keeping in mind the theme of gratitude.

What materials can I use?

Any light weight materials can be used to create and decorate your feathers. Paper, cardboard, fabric, felt, plastic, paints, crayons, pencils, pens, magazine clippings, photographs, glitter, rhinestones, buttons, threads, wire, twine, twigs, leaves… use your imagination and be CREATIVE!

I am not sure what to create?

Templates, feather making ideas and workshops will be available at Blue Drip Art Supplies, 29 Betts Ave. Saturdays starting September 2 through October 7th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

Join the creative team at Blue Drip for ideas, inspiration and space to create. Bring a friend.

What do I do with my completed feather?

Completed feathers can be dropped off at Blue Drip Art Supplies at 29 Betts Ave. during business hours. Completed feathers will be used in the installation of a stunning collaborative work of art.
