About
The Monashee Arts Council is hosting an art show inspired by Heritage. The show will begin on September 5th and conclude on September 29th.
We invite all artists to submit artwork that tells a story! If you are comfortable sharing your story, your brief description of your piece will be included in the show. This way all may enjoy and learn about the Heritage in our community.
Heritage has a wide array of topics, you may choose to tell an old family story, a personal story, or a story of discovery, pain or growth that you would like to portray through a piece of art. It could be related to a predecessor, property, tradition, pride, suffering, society, culture, history, architecture, or any other topic related to Heritage. Or you may like to ponder and answer a question with a piece of artwork, for example,
Do you believe you live by your heritage? Or have you purposely distanced yourself from your heritage? If so, why?
Does your heritage inspire you to create?
How has heritage shaped the world? And you?
Whatever you choose, make it about you!
