Chris offers the following description of his work:
"My approach celebrates the local area and community by including familiar shapes and forms that represent nature. I recently finished a mural last fall in Oakville, allowing me to bring accessible artwork and beauty to an area that can be appreciated. The concept behind this piece is a variety of personal experience and environment. During my time mural painting in Oakville, I was lucky to meet a wide range of people who had stories to share. Throughout this experience I want to showcase the diverse nature of the everyday life of Oakville, living and working in the area. Each distinct feature speaks to the originality of those experiences. I also wanted to tribute the waterfront by allowing this piece to have an overall large scene of blues and brightness. The colour palette is also influenced by the surrounding areas and grabbing colour from local businesses and land features. I wanted to include a style of cutout illustrative features to the work so it can be approachable, friendly, and easily recognizable."
