About

Votes, Voices, Victory! explores the history and legacy of the women’s suffrage movement in the Okanagan, situating local efforts within the broader provincial, national, and global fight for gender equality. This exhibition critically examines themes of inclusion and exclusion, resilience, and the evolving struggle for women’s rights, asking visitors to consider how the suffragist movement shaped feminist activism today.

As the first ever full-length exhibition to focus on women’s suffrage in the Okanagan, Votes, Voices, Victory! offers a unique opportunity to engage with this important history through the collections of the Museum & Archives of Vernon.
