Directions: If you are coming from Victoria on the Highway 14, we are located after the Sooke River bridge on Phillips Road. Look for the lighthouse on the right hand side of the road.

Free, and accepts optional pay-what-you-may donations for admission.

About
Learn the story of the Sooke region through a self-guided tour of the Sooke Region Museum’s indoor permanent display loop, as well as a variety of outdoor exhibits that can be viewed safely by all ages.
Sooke is a small town with a big history. It is home to fascinating stories of one of BC’s earliest examples of forest and maritime industries as well as present-day volunteer spirit.

Museum admission is by donation.
We are open daily from 9:30 am – 5 pm.

The purposes of the Sooke Region Historical Society are:
(a)To gather and preserve information, records, and objects of educational, historical and cultural value associated with the area, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing
(b) To establish and maintain a museum for the purpose of preserving, recording and exhibiting for public enjoyment such material
(c) To undertake other such activities, which from time to time, may be deemed appropriate.
