About
These works by Anna Lefsrud each deal with separate threads of ongoing interest in her practice—movement, changing perspectives and the blending of human, animal and bird figures. The installation "Live Music" alludes to flight, rhythm and air currents. "Cork Floats" continues that current with suggestions of water. The figures atop the corks then lead into the scale of "Small Seven". Miniatures can inversely open onto an expanse larger than the viewer usually occupies, with hopefully, all the work inviting a shift in perception. Anna Lefsrud works primarily in installation and lives in Toronto.
