Directions: This event is held outside of the library with stages, exhibitors and a family picnic area, Inside you will find more exhibitors, workshops, readings, the kids area and panels on the lower levels, 8th and 9th levels of the library and in the promenade.

Offered in English, French, and Punjabi.
Wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral washrooms.
We are trying to have ASL translators but if not this year next year.
About
Word Vancouver, Western Canada's largest free literary festival, is celebrating 25 years of bringing authors and their ideas, creations and words to the streets of Vancouver. With this in mind we are excited to continue to create an inclusive, accessible and dynamic program which showcases the diverse flavour of the city we all know and love. Running from Tuesday September 24th to Sunday September 29th, with 24,000 people in attendance, we will continue to present programming which is distinctive, and supportive of emerging and established authors; a variety of cultures and genders; a range of genres (i.e. poetry, fiction, non-fiction, kids); and an assortment of topics. We are unique in that we include authors, publishers, booksellers, literacy organisations, educational institutions and the general public all under the same venue. Come out and enjoy readings, panels, workshops, manuscript consults and blue pencil editing sessions all for free.

We bring together readers, writers and families for an annual celebration of creativity community and the magic of words. Word Vancouver cultivates a deeper engagement between the literary community and readers of all ages through an annual week long festival. We celebrate words and fosters community for readers and writers with this family friendly free literary festival. We creates a collective literary experiences for Vancouver by providing events that foster connectivity, creativity and inspiration.
Throughout the year we have literary trivia nights and will be having a night of celebration of words and authors.
