About
Join former BC Culture Days Ambassadors Alex Chen and Anna Bigland-Pritchard for a joyful, accessible, and community-oriented evening of song sharing. This event is hosted by Gay4Nature Collective and Lutheran Church of the Cross.
For singers: The event is a fun space for professional, semi-professional, and emerging artists to try something new, sing from their hearts, or prepare for an upcoming audition or event.
For the audience: 12 local singers will perform music from classical and musical theatre and you're invited to come enjoy their performances!
It's a low-stakes, high-wholesomeness situation.

About Gay4Nature Collective:
Gay4Nature Collective is a creative opera+ collective dedicated to the amplification of queer joy, connection, and advocacy for nature at the intersection of sound, movement, and drama. Drawing on tools like Western classical music, contemporary dance, theatre, and film, founders Anna Bigland-Pritchard and Alex Chen assemble teams of innovative artists to grapple with experiences of climate crisis, queer love, friendship, and the pursuit of hope. Their work includes the internationally award-winning sapphic eco-anxiety opera film, "Green," an original (queered) production of Bach's Coffee Cantata, outdoor nature-focused art song performance, and community-building open mic nights. In 2026, Gay4Nature is also collaborating with ABP Creative Arts and Sweet Flag Voice Studio to create Gay4Choir - a queer & trans community choir.

Alex Chen and Anna Bigland-Pritchard are both former BC Culture Days Ambassadors. Alex is a busy baritone, and collaborative pianist, and Anna is a soprano, indie artist, choir director, and Expressive Arts Practitioner.
