About

Sustainable Fashion Week Canada (SFWC) is an inspiring, community-driven celebration of creativity, innovation, and conscious living in fashion. This year’s programming brings together designers, makers, students, businesses, and the public to spark dialogue and action around sustainable and ethical practices in the industry.

Attendees can expect a vibrant mix of runway shows, curated exhibitions, workshops, and community activities that showcase the beauty of fashion with purpose. Highlights include Runway Repurpose, featuring unique collections styled from thrifted and second-hand clothing by Fanshawe College Fashion Design students, and interactive maker profiles where visitors can connect directly with the artisans behind the garments.

Beyond the catwalk, SFWC offers hands-on workshops on garment repair, upcycling, and mindful consumerism, empowering the public to make sustainable choices in their own wardrobes. Our Knowledge Hub will feature talks and panels with industry leaders, local innovators, and change-makers, covering topics from circular fashion to cultural preservation in design.

The event also shines a spotlight on local businesses and community partners who are committed to ethical sourcing, fair labour, and environmental responsibility. Visitors can shop unique, eco-conscious products, explore recycling and textile care guides, and engage with interactive displays—including our innovative QR code system that links each piece directly to its maker’s story.

SFWC is more than a fashion event—it’s a platform for collaboration, education, and community building. Whether you’re a fashion lover, sustainability advocate, student, or simply curious about conscious living, you’ll find inspiration, fresh ideas, and a welcoming space to connect. Join us in reimagining fashion’s future—one garment, one conversation, one choice at a time.

Musey – Sustainable Fashion Week Canada (SFWC)

Musey is a Canadian social enterprise dedicated to making sustainable and ethical fashion accessible, inspiring, and community-driven. We created Sustainable Fashion Week Canada (SFWC) as a national platform to connect designers, makers, educators, and the public in reimagining fashion for a greener future.

Our vision is to transform Canada’s fashion culture into one that values environmental responsibility, cultural heritage, and social equity. Through SFWC, we highlight clothing that is locally made, upcycled, thrifted, or crafted from sustainable materials, while amplifying diverse voices and preserving artisanal skills.

Year-round activities include:

Hosting educational workshops, panels, and pop-up markets on sustainable fashion and textile reuse.

Partnering with schools, colleges, and community organizations to inspire the next generation of designers.

Building a knowledge hub that connects consumers to makers, offers repair/reuse guides, and shares thought leadership in sustainable style.

Collaborating with local and national media to raise awareness about slow fashion and circular economy practices.

SFWC is more than an event—it’s an ongoing movement that celebrates creativity while reducing fashion’s environmental footprint.
