Each week, instructors Graham Myers and Russ Brummer will focus on topics like stage skills, short-form games, character work, long-form techniques and more. All experience levels welcome.

Improv Theatre (IT) is a group of improvisational performers and teachers based in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. We have a combined experience of more than 50 years performing, teaching and building community with improvised theatre/comedy at the heart of what we do.

​Put simply, improv is a theatrical artform where performers do not use a script. Many describe improv as “making things up on the spot”; however, it’s not quite that simple! Improv is about supporting your fellow performers, connecting with the audience, looking inward, trust, and of course, it’s about saying “yes”.

With over 50 years of combined experience, our team of seasoned improvisers and educators brings bold, fast-paced comedy to life - on stage, in classrooms, and at custom events across the region.

At IT, we don’t just make things up, we make things happen. Improv is spontaneous storytelling through the magic of saying “yes.” Whether we’re performing for a packed house or leading a workshop, we’re all about building community through laughter and shared experience.
