The Centre For Creative Arts

Here at the Centre for Creative Arts we aim to provide a welcoming environment where Peace Region residents and visitors to our area can gather to experience, create and celebrate the Peace Regions Cultural Identity.

Today the Centre services our community through affordable fine art, craft and cultural classes for all ages and skill levels. We both offer courses for aspiring artists that are instructed by local working artists and workshops by internationally recognized artists to enrich our local culture. The centre is also pleased to offer a multi-art summer camp for youth, which operates annually each July and August as well as our new addition of week-long teen art workshops each summer.

We house 2 galleries and a gift shop that are completely unique to Grande Prairie in that we feature 100% locally made fine art and craft items. The Centre exhibits 24 new shows each year. It is free to visit the exhibitions and individuals, groups and families are always welcome.

We offer drop in studio use to all members of our community that are seeking a place to learn, explore and develop their craft. In addition, we provide a meeting space for area arts groups such as the Grande Prairie Figure Drawing Club and Artists North.

The Centre for Creative Arts is pleased to facilitate the Healing Arts Program Initiative (H.A.P.I.). H.A.P.I. partners with countless community groups to encourage positive art experiences and a sense of accomplishment in all members of our community.

The Centre for Creative Arts is continuously evolving. The developments, improvements and continued services provided to area residents are the result of countless hours of commitment by dedicated individuals in our community. Whether you are new to our community or have roots here, whether you have accessed our facility in the past or our new to The Centre community we invite you to come by and see what is happening at the Centre today.
