About
The Nanaimo African Heritage Society invites you to join us in celebrating our 10th annual Culture Days celebration on the 24th of September 2022, at the Beban Park Auditorium. There will be 2 showings (11.00 am – 01.00 pm; 01.30 pm – 03.30 pm). Our theme for Cultural Days event this year features a Fairytale Royal Tea Party hosted by Frozen and her special guests – superheroes and princesses.
The event is for children 3 years old and up where they can participate in a wide range of activities. Kids can come dressed as their favorite prince, superhero or princess. There are interactive performances, storytelling, face-painting, and lots of other exciting activities. Sign up early so your children will receive their welcoming goody bag.
Organizer
Nanaimo African Heritage Society
The Nanaimo African Heritage Society (NAHS) creates shared arts and cultural experiences for the residents of Central Vancouver Island, the city of Vancouver, and tourists from abroad, with a special focus on Black History. Through events including the Black History Gala, the NAHS Magazine and programs such as the Children's Fairytale Costume Party, the NAHS aims to bring all the community together in celebration of arts. Through these events, NAHS gives back to the community by providing access to history, art, music, dance and foods of different cultural groups.
