PK Hummingbird teaches steel drum music to youth and their families. Founders Kay Charles and Patrick Nunes aspire to connect youth to the culture of Trinidad and Tobago while engaging them through music. Patrick and Kay visit many local elementary schools and give students the opportunity to experiment with the unique sounds of the steel drums.

PK Hummingbird is frequently featured at the Niagara Folk Arts Festival, and has engaged the community through Culture Days interactive programming. They are excited to share their passion for the steel drums, and their culture, with our community. They were also recognized with a nomination for a City of St. Catharines Arts Award in 2019.
