About

On Saturday, come learn about the history of Henna in various cultures around the world. While learning about the significance of designs and materials, participants will be able to create their own designs on paper hands to take home. For our Sunday event learn about oral storytelling in Metis Culture with Cort Dogniez and participants will be able to draw images that represent their favourite parts from oral stories they have heard in their own families and cultures.

All participants will engage in a collaborative String Art project that explores common threads between all the people who attend the events. After the activities, participants will create a god's eye to take home with them to be reminded of the value of diversity and how we can celebrate the differences in all people while learning about all the beautiful ways that we are the same.
