About

Color My Story is an interactive art and storytelling workshop that invites participants of all ages to explore their identity, upbringing, and personal journey through creative expression. Using guided prompts, participants will reflect on meaningful moments from their lives—who they are, where they come from, and what they valueand then bring those stories to life through personalized artwork on tote bags and t-shirts.

This hands-on experience includes:

Storytelling Stations with thoughtful prompts to help you uncover and shape your personal narrative.

Art Creation Tables equipped with fabric markers, paints, stencils, and more to help you illustrate your story on wearable items.

Community Showcase Wall where participants can display and share the meanings behind their designs (optional).

No artistic background is required just come as you are. This is a safe, inclusive space to reflect, connect, and create. Whether you're exploring your cultural roots, sharing a memory, or affirming who you are today, Colour My Story is a space to be seen and celebrated.

Sign-in and receive: a blank tote bag, overview of the space and schedule, materials kit with fabric markers, paint pens, stencils, and story prompts

2. Storytelling Station: “Tell Your Story” (15–30 mins)

Activity: Use guided prompts to reflect on your identity, upbringing, and experiences.

3. Design & Art Station: “Colour Your Story” (45–60 mins)

Activity: Turn your written reflections into visual artwork on your tote or shirt

4. Sharing Wall & Story Gallery (Ongoing)

Optional Activity: Share your story and design with others

5. Community Corner (Ongoing)

Relax and connect with others

You’ll leave with:

A wearable piece of art that tells your story

A deeper connection to your identity and to others in your community
