Enjoy a free guided tour around Scugog Shores Museum Village & Archives and explore all things cultural from Scugog! Walk through the museum converted from an old schoolhouse, the head church, blacksmith shop, print shop, beef ring, woodshop, and pioneer cottages. Witness Indigenous artwork and canoes, an antique printing press, the first telephones, and original quilts from the 19th century. There is always something to do and learn about at Scugog Shores Museum!

Scugog Shores Museum Village & Archives

The Scugog Shores Museum Village located at 16210 Island Road is open from May to September every year.

We open for the 2024 season on Saturday May 18th, 2024!

Visit us Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

The research room is available for drop in visits during open hours, click here to find more information on the Archives.

The Village shows what daily life was like in Scugog from the mid to late 1800s. We preserve, research, interpret and exhibit artifacts related to the cultural and natural history of the Township of Scugog area. The Village includes:

11 restored buildings

Heritage flower, herb and vegetable gardens

Ojibway Heritage Interpretive Lands

Guided tours are available Wednesday to Sunday during open season from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the cost of admission.
