About

As an Outreach activity in 2020 and a way to keep Arts, Culture and Heritage alive during COVID, the Quesnel and District Community Arts Council (QDCAC) partnered with key community members to present the 1st Annual Quesnel Downtown Art Walk. This was a COVID safe activity that was very well received in the community. It partnered local businesses with local artists to showcase our fantastic talented local artists. The volunteers were from the Quesnel Art Gallery, Quesnel Arts Council and the Downtown Business Association.

Local businesses offer to become “the mini gallery’ for the artists. In 2022, our third year, QDCAC expanded from an Art Walk to an Art Trail and partnered with the Quesnel Art Gallery, Quesnel Downtown Business Association, College of New Caledonia, West Quesnel Business Association, South Quesnel Business Association, organizations and businesses to bring even more local talented artists and artisans to the community at large. We had 36 businesses and over 98 Artists take part in 2022.

Keep an eye out for the artwork at businesses across Quesnel during Culture Days!
