About

This hands-on workshop is a quick introduction to hand-hooking rugs and will appeal to those who want to extend the life of textiles. Surrounded by the vibrant textural layers of the Snagged rug exhibition, students will learn from the artist how to create a rug pile, experiment with different types of fabric, learn directional hooking, and various stitches.

Participants do not need to bring anything but will take home skills and knowledge instead of a project. The workshop offers the opportunity to try the artist's tools and to practice under their guidance. For participants who want to explore further after the class, basic rug hooking supplies will be available for purchase (optional).
