About

Do you know a youth or child who loves to sing? This is their chance to join an open rehearsal with one of Richmond's premier children's and youth choirs under the direction of well-known Conductor and Artistic Director, Heidi Epp.

The choirs are open to all levels of singers.

Our workshops are divided into 3 divisions:

12:45pm for Treble Choir - ages 5 - 8 years

1:45pm for Debut Choir - ages 8 - 13 years

2:45pm for Concert Choir - ages 13 -19 years

Ms. Heidi has been conducting choirs in Richmond for over a decade. Her young singers have participated in numerous local festivals, including functioning as host choirs to other touring choirs, touring Nationally, representing BC and Richmond in Ottawa for Canada 150, and touring internationally to Wakayama, Japan and Nambia and South Africa for World Choir Games. Her next goal is to take a select group of singers to Flanders, Belgium to compete in the World Choir Games 2020!

It is our mandate to provide premier vocal and choral training to the children and youth of Richmond and the Metro Vancouver area as well as giving them a broad range of performance opportunities. By participating in our program they develop not only vocal and musical confidence, but personal confidence and self-esteem. They also learn to work and support each other in community. We teach aural and visual musical literacy, healthy voice production and intonation and teach a broad range of genres of music including classical, world music, musical theater and pop which includes learning, on average, 9 or more languages a year. Our program runs through the school year with some exceptions when on tour. There is a potential for a select group to tour to Europe in July 2020. We also strive to collaborate with other local choirs and youth music organizations.
