Learn how to make a creative flower arrangement under the direction of local horticulturalist Mary Anne Connell. Bring containers, dried flowers, flowers and greenery. Some materials may be available on-site.

Town of Minto Playgrounds COVID – 19 - Rules for the Use of Halls and Auditoriums

These rules are to ensure the safety of all users and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Entrance Restrictions and Requirements

• If you are experiencing any of the following you are prohibited from using the facility:

o Symptoms of COVID-19 as listed on Health Unit website

o Close contact with a confirmed or probably COVID-19 case

o Travel outside of Canada in the past 14 days

o Instructions from local public health authorities to self-isolate due to travel or contact history

• Gatherings of up to 50 or are permitted to ensure physical distancing; religious services and ceremonies of up to 90 are permitted

• Renter is required to take attendance and collect basic contact information

• Follow protocols required by the Province, Health Unit, and any other regulatory body

Physical Distancing

• Maintain a distance of at least 2 metres or 6 feet from other people (excluding members of the same household)

Equipment & Structures and Objects

• The hall, its amenities and surrounding objects are being sanitized before and after each rental

Hand Hygiene

• Hand sanitizer is in place at the facilities

• Hands should be wiped clean before applying the hand sanitizer

• Perform hand hygiene: 1) Upon arrival; 2) Upon leaving

Use of Non-Medical (homemade masks)

• Wearing a non-medical mask (handmade cloth mask) or facial covering is required unless seated and physically distanced

Food and Beverage

• Food and beverage are permitted to be consumed if seated and physically distanced

• Food service cafeteria-style and pre-plated are permitted; no buffet-style

• Refer to Health Unit guide to hosting special events guidance document

• The facilities may be closed if unsafe social distancing is observed

• By booking and/or using any facilities and/or publicly accessible spaces you voluntarily assume all risks including any risk of injury, loss, damage, and possible exposure to a communicable disease, including COVID-19.

We are a group of people who share a common interest in growing things. Our goal is to encourage a love of gardening, assist in civic beautification and promote the circulation of horticultural information.

The Society hosts a series of workshops and seminars, organizes flower shows and garden tours, participates in fall fairs and organizes an annual Garden Festival.
