About

Bringing community based visual art together with food sustainability! Join us in creating durable, memorable 'scarecrow' art in our community gardens and then take the scarecrow tour through the Town of Bancroft to enjoy scarecrows built by our shop owners and businesses.

Individuals, families and groups are all welcome to participate in building a scarecrow. Materials will be provided but do bring accessories which will make your scarecrow inspiring. You will be leaving a creative legacy for the community. Your imagination is the limit and there will be prizes! We plan to build at least 25 scarecrows, with your help. Browse through the photos below to see where the scarecrows will live.

The scarecrow mania does include our shopping district! Shops and businesses downtown are creating their very own scarecrows. You are invited to take a scarecrow walking tour to see them and vote for your favourite at 23 Bridge St. at North Hastings Community Trust. Pop your ballot in the box out front. Winner to be announced on Thanksgiving weekend.

To participate, please register with North Hastings Community Trust at 613-332-3657 or send an email to [email protected]
