About

The Gateway Theatre Guild is hosting an evening of new theatre by local writer and artist Terre Chartrand at Nipissing First Nation's Big Medicine Studio - Aanmitaagzi. Join us for an intimate evening in a small theatre to appreciate new work.

"A family caught between the Indian Act and the advancement of time.

In this new play, a work in progress by Terre Chartrand, based in part on fact, and in part in family histories, we follow a family caught in tragedy between the advancement of technologies and the Indian Act. In this play, based in a small trading post village in Nipissing Unorganized Territory, themes of loss, estrangements, community and childhood are explored."
