About

The Climate Action Quilt is the artistic creation of every student in School District #19 and École Des Glaciers led by artist Jackie Pendergast. Linking conservation, nature exploration, and artistic practice, the children and youth in our community have created a giant “call to action” through this artistic and collaborative quilt.

The Climate Action Quilt has been sewn together at the Revelstoke Visual Art Centre.

The quilt will be on display downtown Revelstoke on MacKenzie Avenue on September 25th.

LUNA Reimagined is structured as a flow through event and we recommend people wear their masks while moving around downtown. We advise people to stay within their health region during this time and to explore BC Culture days safely & locally.

Stay safe,

Organizer

Arts Revelstoke

Arts Revelstoke is a non profit committed to bringing arts, culture and education to our community.

We present an annual Performance Series and program Arts Starts in the schools, present Movies in The Mountains, present the award-winning Summer Street Festival and manage the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre on behalf of the community in partnership with School District #19. The fall of 2018 was the first year of LUNA Fest – Nocturnal Art & Wonder, developed in partnership with the Revelstoke Visual Arts Society. The entire project came under the management of Arts Revelstoke in 2019. The Art Alleries public art project is an idea developed as part of a LUNA Fest legacy. Arts Revelstoke currently manages this project as well.

We value engagement and collaboration with community partners and other cultural organizations in Revelstoke: The Community Band, the Community Choir, Revelstoke Multi-Cultural Society, Ecole des Glaciers and the Indigenous Friendship Society as well as local dance companies and music teachers to name a few.
