About

Come by the studio to partake in our free community art-making event while enjoying an installation inspired by our prairie skies.

In our fast-paced, image-saturated world, even the most breathtaking natural phenomena - sunsets, vast open skies, the slow drift of clouds - sometimes become background noise. "Midlight" encourages lingering attention on beauty overlooked. By presenting scenes typically associated with day or dusk at night, we aim to renew the viewer's capacity for awe and appreciation through increased contrast and new contexts.

"Archive of Remembered Skies" continues the invitation into slow observation, with a collaborative lens. Community members have shared their own remembered skies and we invite you to contribute to the growing collective archive. Supplies provided (7:00 pm - 9:30pm).

Organizer

The Third Place Winnipeg

The Third Place Winnipeg is an art, workshop, and yoga studio located in The Exchange District.

In sociology, “the third place” refers to a place to spend time that is neither home nor work. The third place is one where you can be a regular, catch up, create, and connect. We hope “The Third Place” can be for you what it is for us.
