About
The Heritage Writers Group is a small monthly group held the third Monday of the month from 10:30-noon in the PoCo Museum at Leigh Square. The changing topics are introduced by the author, Julie Schmidt, as a led reminiscing session similar to the Rhymes of Times. The purpose of the reminiscing and sharing is to stimulate memories and to discover an area you wish to capture in writing. The reminiscing time is shorter than during the Rhymes of Times to allow personal time for writing. No preparation is required and it isn’t necessary to attend every month since capturing your story doesn’t require chronological sequence. Start now and add to your binder as often as you can and watch your story come to life bit by bit. Your children and family will thank you for capturing your story. Bring paper and pen or laptop and let’s get started.
