About

Every year, in honour of Heritage Week in BC, The Historic Stewart Farm leads a Heritage Sites Bus Tour in Surrey, featuring different neighbourhoods and sites each year. This activity is a portion of a past tour for you to try yourself. You can simply explore from your home by visiting the links under “More Info” or by watching the Google Earth presentation. Or you can click on the Google Maps link and drive the route yourself. Please be sure to respect private property as well as all traffic laws.

This week we feature a 12½ km route featuring the Port Kells and Clayton neighborhoods. From First World War spy's to regular old general stores, this tour leads you on a journey from one exciting place tot he next.

Below there are two orange links to the Tour Guide and the Map of the driving tour, be sure to print both before you start!

Organizer

City of Surrey, Heritage Services

The City of Surrey Heritage Services Department runs various parts of Heritage within the City of Surrey, including Heritage Collections, Surrey Archives, Re-enactors, and Historic Stewart Farm. The mandate of our division is to share the diverse history of the Municipality of Surrey with our community. Our vision is to create a better community that reflects on the past.

Recently as part of our shift towards online programming these institutions have begun to focus on digital and remote programming, instead of in person interpretation. This program is based off of our driving tours, usually on a bus, held with the public seasonally.
