About

St. Michael Community School celebrates Métis culture, language and perspectives throughout their school and the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School division. Along with incorporating a Michif Language program, St. Michael's Community School celebrates Metis culture through music and more specifically through the Fiddle Program.

Join us and celebrate with us as the Metis Fiddlers from St. Michael Community School Fiddle program perform a song from one of their CDs while Shirley Isbister from CUMFI, speaks out about Orange Shirt Days, the road to reconciliation through cultural and language reclamation and the importance of cultural youth programs in schools. Explore the deeper meaning of Orange Shirt Day and the important role that the arts, language and education plays in carrying forward cultural learning into future generations. Enjoy experiencing a piece of music that celebrates Metis culture and that is performed by the talented students at St. Michael Community School.
