UZUME TAIKO: AN INTIMATE PORTRAIT - Part 1
Virtual Concert Event: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 at 7pm PDT to OCTOBER 24 AT 12am PDT
The 40-minute Performance Event captures the taiko drummers up close and personal in the intimate Taiko Studio setting. Join us for a potpourri of powerful drum beats, rhythmic precision and choreographed movement.
The “Uzume Taiko: An Intimate Portrait” Series is a collection of our favourite taiko songs that were recorded during the Spring of 2021. Taiko drummers performing in these Events are Jason Overy, Jordy Riley, Bonnie Soon, Boyd Seiichi Grealy and Andrew Czink.

Uzume Taiko Drum Group Society
The Uzume Taiko Drum Group Society was established in 1989 to create and present new works for taiko, especially in collaboration with other performers and to educate audiences about taiko music. Activities include the development and presentation of shows for elementary and secondary school audiences and workshops for people of all ages and the creation and public presentation of new cross-cultural taiko music and repertoire.
