I’ve been a Nurse/Paramedic for years. However, I had a life-changing event.
In the year 2012, I had a bad accident and am now on permanent disability. I had spinal surgery in 2014 and was in a wheelchair for six months. I had a concussion with seizures.
I was on medication, but the seizures continued with serious side effects. I decided to leave hospital and deal with life my way.
I have past experience with yoga. Each day I practiced 5-20 min a day. I dealt with physical and mental stress. I was no longer part of Nursing society; my lifetime of studies were gone in a matter of seconds because of one accident. But, I was still grateful for being alive. Yoga gave me support I began eating right and using meditation.
I obtained a Teaching Certificate and teach at festivals and offer yoga classes in Harriston.
